1885 BULGARIAN RUSSIAN CAVALRY ORDER MEDAL WAR DOCUMENT
Ladies and Gentlemen, we are pleased to offer this week from an outstanding private Militaria Collection, an ultra rare original c.
1887 Document with Silver Order for Participation in Bulgarian - Serbian War of 1885.
Order was presented to Colonel Hristo Petrunov ~ Commander of FIRST Cavalry Unit of His Majesty Alexander Battenberg Prince of North and South Bulgaria and high Commander of Military Forces of Principality Bulgaria.
Document is issued on 19th of February 1887 in Sofia, Principality Bulgaria.
It bears the signatures of Minister of War Colonel Nikolaev and personally signed by himself Colonel Hristo Petrunov.
Document bears the stamp of Military Ministry of Principality Bulgaria and Stamp of 1st Cavalry Unit of The Principality.
More about the Cavalry Unit ~ it was under command of Colonel Petrunov and was settled in Town of Samokov, suburbs of Sofia.
In early morning of August, 2nd 1887 Colonel Petrunov was forced to come from Samokov to Sofia together with his Cavalry Unit and obey to New order of the Riot against Prince Alexander Battenberg.
The Riot led to successful coronation of His Majesty Prince Ferdinand Sax-Coburg-Gotha on Aug.
2nd 1887 in Veliko Tarnovo ~ Old Capital of Principality Bulgaria.
